Review by hotel critic
If you find yourself in Thassos town, Hotel Timoleon presents a practical choice for travelers seeking both comfort and reasonable pricing. Located conveniently near the port, it positions you right in the heart of the shopping and dining zone. I opted for a sea-facing room, which allowed for lovely views and easy access to the beach, just a short five-minute stroll away. The hotel recently underwent renovations, and while it retains a unique character, it's the amenities that stand out: air conditioning, complimentary toiletries, and Wi-Fi to make your stay comfortable and connected. Breakfast offered a selection of traditional Greek options, although the choices remained consistent throughout my stay. What truly underscores the value here is the attention to service-from polite staff to the efficient housekeeping. At this price point, you'll find that Hotel Timoleon balances comfort with affordability, making it an appealing option for budget-conscious travelers like myself. Plus, don't forget to grab some local olive oil before you leave!
